For our next Bike Party ride Boston Bike Party is making a fashion statement. With the seasons changing and springtime here, what better way to celebrate the season for love and warmth in Boston than by showing off the loveliest and warmest of colors on your pedal-pushers with red socks! We ride Tuesday, April 8th, rolling out from Copley Sq. outside Trinity Church at 7:30pm!
This month, in collaboration with RAWRbikes (Really Awesome Women Riding Bikes!), Boston Bike Party is celebrating Grrrls who love music, parties, bikes, courage, & Grrrrrrrrrrrl Power! Join us for an awesome ride with friends and music followed by an after-party!
UPDATE: Mount Olympus! has been RESCHEDULED to THURSDAY FEB 20!, Departing at 7:30pm from Dewey Sq.
According to ancient Bike Party legend, the 12 great Olympians gathered every month atop Mount Olympus to ride bicycles and drink nectar while discussing and deciding the fate of mere mortals. This month, the ancient Bike Party Olympians reunite!
‘Tis the season for a festive bike party! Grab that disco ball, string those colorful tree lights on your bike, and wear something bright and flashy because this month’s ride is a holiday SPARKLE MOTION bike party! (light-up, shiny, or holiday costumes highly encouraged!)
UPDATE: The ride is postponed to next Thursday, 8/22. Now there’s more time to invite your friends!
There’s a chance of rain and some colder weather tonight, but the Boston weather is fickle so we’re hoping for the best. We want to know if you (bike partiers) would like to postpone the ride for a later date, or chance it and slog through the weather. We’re all bundled up and ready for either option, we just want your input!
It’s summer, its hot outside, but when the sun goes down the BOARDWALK is the place to be and be seen. Enjoy beautiful summer night on the boardwalk with us.
Come dressed in your favorite summer night boardwalk attire! Maybe its classy Jackie-O sunglasses in your hair, Maybe is a beach towel around your waist, Maybe your inspiration comes from the Jersey Shore… Tan-lines and beach wear welcome!
This ride will be on Tuesday, August 13th. As before, we will be meeting at 7:30pm in Dewey Square in front of South Station. We roll out at 8pm, but we’ve got a few quick announcements before hand, and that gives you time to meet some of your fellow bike partiers before the ride!
This month we are going to check out some great biking places in JP, and get a bit of nature in along the Emerald Necklace while we’re at it. The ride will finish in Allston where we can grab drinks and a bite to eat.
Like always, we’ll meet on the second Tuesday (July 9th) at 7:30pm in Dewey Square, near South Station. We ride off at 8pm. You can check out the route map on Ride With GPS. We’ll have the music trailer towed by Jon Ramos blasting out some tunes for the ride. You can add your own music to the playlist on Spotify – bike dancing encouraged!

We’ve got another ride going on tomorrow! Last month we toured South Boston and ended up near Fenway, but we are mixing it up this month and touring North Boston, Charlestown, Navy Yard, and a sweet trail along the Charles River.
Bring a bike or pick up a hubway near the starting point to join us for a night of riding around Boston!
Date: Tuesday, June 11, 2013
Time: Meet at 7:30pm, Ride at 8pm
Place: Dewey Square Plaza, in front of South Station, Boston, MA
Just a reminder, everybody stay safe! We’d like to promote biking in Boston, not make everybody hate cyclists. With that goal, keep some things in mind:
Bring bike lights! Blinkies, glow sticks, and disco balls welcome!
Keep to the right lane and off of sidewalks
Never ride against traffic
Stop at red lights
Ride straight and predictably
Ride smart. Don’t ride inebriated or unsafely.
Remind others to be safe. Help remind others who aren’t following the rules.
Stick together! It isn’t a race to the end, it’s a social ride together. If the group is held back, wait. If you’re falling back (which is hard) catch up!
You are each responsible for your behavior! All participants ride at their own risk.
To keep up to date, follow the event on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter. We will be posting updates on Twitter before and during the ride so people can follow our progress and join us later if they are a bit late. If you’ve got anything to share you can post to the Facebook event page, tell us on Twitter @BostonBikeParty or with #BostonBikeParty!
